Terms & Conditions of Travel

(You may want to print this Document for your records)
Read the Document carefully. It is a contract between the traveler(s) and Experiencing Israel, hereafter referred to as The Company.

PASSPORT & VISA INFORMATION

All travelers are required to have a passport valid for six months after their return to their home country. This is the law. Currently visas are not required for U.S. and Canadian citizens but may be required of travelers from other countries.

It is each traveler’s responsibility to obtain his or her required passport. Visa requirements vary according to the nationality of the passport holder. For travelers who are not U.S. citizens, please consult a visa service company or the Israel Embassy in the country of your nationality for Israel’s visa requirements. Visa requirements and charges are subject to change. The Company is not responsible for the refusal of visas by consular offices and normal cancellation charges will apply. Applications received less than 14 business days before departure may require extra processing fees.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES

You may pay by check, money order or bank wire transfer. Fill out the Personal Information & Payment Preference Form, below. We do not take other forms of payment at this time. Since our bank charges for receiving wire transfers, should you choose this form of payment, the bank charge will be added to your final payment. All payments must be made in U.S. Funds.

INSURANCE INFORMATION

We do not offer traveler’s Trip Cancellation/Interruption/Medical Insurance; however, both are available in the event you are concerned your trip might be interrupted or you might incur a medical problem while abroad. You can find insurance carriers online.

CANCELLATION POLICY

    • The deposit is non-refundable.
    • Between 21 days and 14 days prior to departure, any cancellation will incur a penalty of 25% of the price of the land portion per space. All cancellations must be made in writing to The Company.
    • Between 14 days prior to departure and the departure date, no refund will be made for the price of the land portion per space.
    • All claims for refunds must be received in writing within 30 days of the group’s scheduled return. Unused tour features are non-refundable.

FEES FOR CHANGES AND/OR DEVIATIONS

Voluntary changes and deviations to the program (including, but not limited to changes to itinerary, confirmed air blocks, number or types of confirmed hotel rooms) will be handled on a request basis only and will be subject to possible cost increases. Within 60 days of the group’s home departure date, any changes made to the program, including but not limited to changes in names, hotels, ground transportation, air transportation, sightseeing, and meals, will result in a $25.00 change fee per transaction. In certain circumstances, changes in dates may be considered a canceled trip and cancellation penalties may apply.

Deviation/stopover policies subject to individual airline tariffs and regulations.

CHANGES IN AIR SCHEDULE/LAND ITINERARY/HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The Company shall not be responsible for any airline schedule changes regardless of when these airline schedule changes take place and cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of these airline schedule changes (ie. Forced overnight hotel accommodations, meals, etc.). The Company will make every effort to operate the air and land itinerary as disclosed. However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the program and/or hotel(s). We will do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are deemed necessary. We reserve the right to substitute accommodations if absolutely necessary.

HOTEL CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT

Generally, hotel rooms become available for check-in about 2:00 PM and the normal check out time is 10:00 AM.

SMOKING POLICY

There is a no smoking policy on all motor coaches. At times when you are off the motor coach, smoking may be permitted in some public areas.

BAGGAGE

Airline baggage allowances vary by carrier, but usually are based on a measurement system. Weight allowances also vary by carrier. Specific questions regarding check in and carry-on baggage limitations should be addressed directly to the specific airline being used.

TRAVELERS REQUIRING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

At the time reservations are made, please tell The Company of any disability, including any special food requirements, requiring special attention. The Company will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of such travelers, but it cannot be responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, and other independent suppliers. We regret that we cannot provide individual assistance to a member for walking, dining, getting on and off the motor coaches and other transportation vehicles, or other personal needs. Travelers who need such assistance should be accompanied by a qualified companion.

The tour services outlined herein, including without limitation transportation, lodging, and sightseeing, are provided by the carrier, hoteliers, and other suppliers that are independent contractors and not agents for employees, partners, or joint ventures of The Company. The Company issues tickets, vouchers, and other travel documents for such service merely as an agent for the companies furnishing such services. By joining this tour, the tour participant expressly waives all rights which he or she may have against The Company in connection with the foregoing. Under no circumstance is The Company to be construed as a carrier under contract for safe carriage of the passenger of his or her baggage and belongings. If this decision is made, the traveler(s) will be given an appropriate refund for unused/unpaid services.
